Well the St. Sylvester Science and Discovery Fair is quickly approaching and we are busily preparing. For our first experiment we learned about liquids turning into solids. The children learned why, in most cases, cold creates a solid. To test this theory we made O.J. juice pops. Our experiment, like all great experiments, was flawed. I left our juice pops in the freezer over the weekend, uncovered. While the pops did freeze, many dumped over.....a few did survive, though! I had foreseen this occurrence (how could little cups in a freezer, uncovered, possibly ever go wrong?) and brought frozen freezer pops. We all enjoyed a freezer pop while discussing matter, state change, and our favorite flavor of experiment!
